Plastics piping systems for hot and cold water installations - Polyethylene of raised temperature resistance (PE-RT) - Part 5: Fitness for purpose of the system (ISO 22391-5:2009)

ISO 22391-5:2009 specifies the characteristics of the fitness for purpose of piping systems made of polyethylene of raised temperature resistance (PE-RT), Type I and polyethylene of raised temperature resistance (PE-RT), Type II, intended to be used for hot and cold water installations within buildings for the conveyance of water, whether or not the water is intended for human consumption (domestic systems) and for heating systems, under the design pressures and temperatures appropriate to the class of application according to ISO 22391-1.
ISO 22391-5:2009 covers a range of service conditions (classes of application), design pressures and pipe dimension classes, and also specifies test parameters and test methods. In conjunction with the other parts of ISO 22391, it is applicable to PE-RT pipes, fittings, their joints, and to joints having components of PE-RT as well as of other plastics and non-plastics materials, respectively, used for hot and cold water installations.

Dieser Teil von ISO 22391 legt die Eigenschaften für die Gebrauchstauglichkeit von Rohrleitungssystemen aus
   Polyethylen erhöhter Temperaturbeständigkeit (PE RT), Typ I und
   Polyethylen erhöhter Temperaturbeständigkeit (PE RT), Typ II
fest, die in der Warm  und Kaltwasserinstallation innerhalb von Gebäuden für den Transport von Wasser Trink  oder Brauchwasser (Hausinstallation) und für Heizungsanlagen  bei festgelegten zulässigen Betriebssdrücken und  temperaturen entsprechend der jeweiligen Anwendungsklasse nach ISO 22391 1 eingesetzt werden.
Dieser Teil von ISO 22391 enthält eine Reihe von Betriebsbedingungen (Anwendungsklassen), zulässigen Betriebsdrücken und Rohrabmessungsklassen und legt auch Prüfparameter und Prüfverfahren fest. Zusammen mit den anderen Teilen von ISO 22391 gilt dieser Teil entsprechend für PE RT Rohre,  Formstücke, deren Verbindungen untereinander, sowie für Verbindungen mit Bauteilen aus PE RT und anderen Kunststoffen sowie anderen Werkstoffen, die in der Warm  und Kaltwasserinstallation angewendet werden.
Dieser Teil der Norm gilt nicht für Werte für die Berechnungstemperatur, die maximale Berechnungs-temperatur oder Störfalltemperatur, die über die in ISO 22391 1 festgelegten Werte hinausgehen.

L'ISO 22391-5:2009 spécifie les caractéristiques d'aptitude à l'emploi des systèmes de canalisations en polyéthylène de meilleure résistance à la température (PE‑RT), Type I, et en polyéthylène de meilleure résistance à la température (PE‑RT), Type II, destinés aux installations d'eau chaude et froide à l'intérieur  des bâtiments ainsi qu'au transport de l'eau, destinée ou non à la consommation humaine (systèmes domestiques) et aux installations de chauffage, à des pressions et des températures de service spécifiées correspondant à la classe d'application conformément à l'ISO 22391‑1.

ISO 22391 določa značilnosti ustrezanja zahtevam za uporabnost cevnih sistemov, narejenih iz - polietilena s povišano temperaturno odpornostjo (PE-RT), tip I, in - polietilena s povišano temperaturno odpornostjo (PE-RT), tip II, ki se uporabljajo za napeljave z vročo in hladno vodo v stavbah za prenos vode, ne glede na to, ali je voda namenjena za prehrano ljudi (gospodinjski sistemi) in grelne sisteme, pod računskimi tlaki in pri temperaturah, primernih za razred uporabe v skladu z ISO 22391-1. ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been

This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 22391-5:2007), which is extended from only
dealing with PE-RT material (referred to as Type I) to cover PE-RT materials Type I and Type II.

Introduction
The System Standard, of which this is Part 5, specifies the requirements for a piping system and its
components when made from polyethylene of raised temperature resistance (PE-RT). The piping system is
intended to be used for hot and cold water installations.
In respect of potential adverse effects on the quality of water intended for human consumption caused by the
products covered by ISO 22391, the following are relevant.
a) This part of ISO 22391 provides no information as to whether the products can be used without restriction.
b) Existing national regulations concerning the use and/or characteristics of the products remain in force.
This part of ISO 22391 specifies the characteristics of fitness for purpose of the system. At the date of
