Building hardware, fittings for windows and door height windows - Requirements and test methods - Part 5: Devices that restrict the opening of windows
This Part of prCEN/TS 13126 specifies the requirements and test methods for durability, strength, security and function of devices that restrict the opening of windows.
The following types of restrictors are included:
a) Restricted opening devices with or without friction systems;
b) Hold open devices;
c) Peg type casement stays;
d) Maximum opening stops.
It shall apply to all devices that restrict the opening of hinged and pivoted windows, whether the devices are products that may be fitted to a window separately from other operating fittings or whether the restricted opening is achieved by means of features in the design of fittings such as hinges or pivots.
NOTE Safety in use could be affected by the failure of restricted opening devices that limit the initial opening of a window. Accordingly, such safety related devices are subjected to higher wind loads than hold-open devices or maximum opening stops.
The durability test is not applicable to peg type casement stays.

Dieser Teil von prCEN/TS 13126 legt die Anforderungen an und Prüfverfahren für die Dauerfunktions-tüchtigkeit, Festigkeit, Schutzwirkung und Funktionsweise von Vorrichtungen zur Begrenzung des Öffnungswinkels von Fenstern fest.
Die vorliegende Norm gilt für folgende Arten von Begrenzern:
a) begrenzende Öffnungsvorrichtungen mit oder ohne Friktionssystem;
b) Fensterfeststeller;
c) Stiftfeststeller;
d) Anschläge.
Diese Technische Spezifikation muss für alle Vorrichtungen gelten, die das Öffnen von Klapp- und Schwingflügelfenstern begrenzen, unabhängig davon, ob die Vorrichtungen Produkte sind, die getrennt von anderen Betätigungsvorrichtungen am Fenster befestigt werden können oder ob das begrenzte Öffnen durch konstruktive Merkmale von Beschlägen, wie z. B. Bänder oder Drehlager, erreicht wird.
ANMERKUNG Die Gebrauchssicherheit könnte durch ein Versagen von begrenzenden Öffnungsvorrichtun-gen, die das anfängliche Öffnen eines Fensters begrenzen, beeinträchtigt werden. Daher werden derartige sicherheitsrelevante Vorrichtungen bei der Prüfung höheren Windlasten ausgesetzt als Fensterfeststeller oder Anschläge.
Die Prüfung der Dauerfunktionstüchtigkeit ist nicht auf Stiftfeststeller anwendbar.

La présente partie du prCEN/TS 13126 spécifie les exigences et méthodes d'essai relatives à l'endurance, à la résistance, à la sécurité des biens et au fonctionnement des dispositifs limitateurs d'ouverture des fenêtres.
Les types de limitateurs suivants sont couverts par la présente spécification technique :
a) Les dispositifs limitateurs d'ouverture avec ou sans système de friction ;
b) les entrebâilleurs ;
c) les compas limitateurs ;
d) les dispositifs limitateurs d'ouverture maximale.
La présente partie du CEN/TS 13126 s'applique à tous les dispositifs qui limitent l'ouverture des fenêtres à paumelles ou pivotantes, qu'il s'agisse de produits pouvant équiper une fenêtre indépendamment des autres organes de man�uvre ou que la limitation de l'ouverture soit accomplie au moyen de dispositifs faisant partie d'autres éléments de ferrures comme les paumelles ou les pivots.
NOTE La sécurité des personnes lors de l'utilisation peut être mise en cause par la défaillance des dispositifs limitateurs d'ouverture d'une fenêtre. Par conséquent, de tels dispositifs liés à la sécurité sont soumis à des charges d'essai plus élevées que les entrebâilleurs ou les dispositifs limitateurs d'ouverture maximum.
L'essai d'endurance n'est pas applicable aux compas limitateurs.
