EN ISO 5263-2:2004

Pulps - Laboratory wet disintegration - Part 2: Disintegration of mechanical pulps at 20 degrees C (ISO 5263-2:2004)

ISO 5263-2:2004 specifies an apparatus and the procedures for the laboratory-wet disintegration of mechanical pulps that do not exhibit latency or pulps where latency has already been removed. This apparatus and procedure are required for preparation of the test portion in a number of other International Standards dealing with pulps.
In principle, this method is applicable to all kind of mechanical pulps (i.e. mechanical, semi-chemical and chemo-mechanical pulps) that do not exhibit latency, including recovered fibres from mechanical pulps. It is not suitable for mechanical pulps exhibiting latency for which the disintegration procedure described in ISO 5263-3 shall be used.
The procedure specified by ISO 5263-2:2004 should also be used to disintegrate all mechanical pulps to be measured for brightness.

Faserstoffe - Nassaufschlagen im Labor - Teil 2: Aufschlagen von Holzstoff bei 20 grad C (ISO 5263-2:2004)

Dieser Teil der ISO 5263 legt ein Gerät und ein Verfahren zum Nassaufschlagen von Holzstoffen im Labor ohne oder mit bereits beseitigter Latenz fest. Das Gerät und das Verfahren finden auch zur Probenvorbereitung in mehreren anderen Internationalen Normen zum Thema Faserstoffe Anwendung.
Grundsätzlich ist das Verfahren für alle latenzfreien Holzstoffarten anwendbar (z. B. Holzstoffe, Halbzellstoff und chemische Holzstoffe) - aus Holzstoffen gewonnene Sekundärfaserstoffe eingeschlossen. Es ist nicht geeignet für Holzstoffe mit Latenz, für die das in ISO 5263-3 beschriebene Aufschlagverfahren zu verwenden ist.
Das in ISO 5263-2 festgelegte Verfahren sollte auch zum Aufschlagen all der Holzstoffarten verwendet werden, die auf den Weißgrad untersucht wurden.
ANMERKUNG   Der Weißgrad wird durch das Vorhandensein von Latenz nicht signifikant beeinflusst; bei der Heißzerfaserung  von Holzstoffen kann es jedoch zu signifikanten Weißgradverlusten kommen.

This document (EN ISO 5263-2:2004) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 6
"Paper, board and pulps" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 172 "Pulp, paper
and board", the secretariat of which is held by DIN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2005, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by March 2005.

This document supersedes EN ISO 5263 :1997.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the
