Testing fresh concrete - Part 3: Vebe test

This standard specifies a method for determining the consistency of fresh concrete by means of the Vebe time. It is not applicable to concrete of which the maximum size of aggregate exceeds 63 mm. If the Vebe time is less than 5 s or more than 30 s, the concrete has a consistency for which the Vebe test is unsuitable.

Diese Europäische Norm enthält Festlegungen für ein Verfahren zur Bestimmuung der Konsistenz von Frischbeton mit Hilfe der Vebe-Zeit. Diese Norm ist nicht anwendbar, wenn das Größtkorn des Zuschlags mehr als 63 mm beträgt. Wenn die Vebe-Zeit weniger als 5 s oder mehr als 30 s beträgt, hat der Beton eine Konsistenz, für die die Vebe-Prüfung nicht geeignet ist.

La présente norme européenne définit une méthode de détermination de la consistance du béton frais au moyen du temps à l'essai Vébé. Elle n'est applicable aux bétons dont la dimension maximale des granulats est supérieure à 63 mm. Si le temps à l'essai Vébé est inférieur à 5 s ou supérieur à 30 s, le béton présente une consistance qui n'est pas appréciable au moyen de l'essai Vébé.
