This document specifies the characteristics of UV laser printable, single and multicore silver-plated copper screened (spiral) and jacketed electrical cables for use in the on-board electrical systems of aircraft, at operating temperatures between −55 °C and 200 °C.
It is also possible to mark these cables by qualified compatible marking. These markings are in accordance with EN 3838.

Dieses Dokument legt die Eigenschaften von UV Laser bedruckbaren, ein  und mehradrigen, mit versilbertem Kupfergeflecht geschirmten (Umseilung) und ummantelten elektrischen Leitungen fest, die zur Verwendung in Bordnetzen von Luftfahrzeugen bei Betriebstemperaturen zwischen−55 °C und 200 °C bestimmt sind.
Es ist auch möglich, diese Leitungen mit einer qualifizierten passenden Kennzeichnung zu versehen. Diese Kennzeichnungen entsprechen EN 3838.

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques des câbles électriques, mono et multiconducteurs, en cuivre argenté, blindés (guipés) et gainés, marquables au laser UV, et destinés à être utilisés dans les systèmes électriques à bord des aéronefs à des températures de fonctionnement comprises entre −55 °C et 200 °C.
Il est également possible de marquer ces câbles par des marquages compatibles qualifiés. Ces marquages sont conformes à l’EN 3838.

Ta dokument določa značilnosti eno- ali večžilnih, oklopljenih (spirala) ali oplaščenih električnih kablov iz posrebrenega bakra z možnostjo UV-laserskega tiskanja za uporabo v električnih sistemih na krovu letala pri obratovalnih temperaturah med −55 °C in 200 °C.
Te kable je mogoče označiti tudi s kvalificirano združljivo oznako. Te oznake so v skladu s standardom EN 3838.
