L'ISO 14881:2001 définit les propriétés qui caractérisent le couplage entrée et sortie de la lumière de circuits optiques intégrés (IOC) et de puces avec circuits optoélectroniques intégrés (OEIC). L'ISO 14881:2001 se limite au couplage en about par l'intermédiaire des faces d'extrémité des guides d'ondes. Foreword



The text of ISO 14881:2001 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 172 "Optics
and optical instruments" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has
been taken over as EN ISO 14881:2005 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 123 "Lasers and
laser-related equipment" the secretariat of which is held by DIN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2005, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2005.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium,
Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary,
Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland,
Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
