Leather - Chemical determination of chromic oxide content - Part 2: Quantification by colorimetric determination (ISO 5398-2:2009)

ISO 5398-2:2009 describes the determination of chrome by colorimetric means. It is applicable to leathers which are expected to have chromic oxide contents in excess of 0,05 %. This is an analysis for total chromium in leather; it is not compound specific or specific to its oxidation state.

Dieser Teil der ISO 5398 beschreibt die Bestimmung von Chrom durch kolorimetrische Geräte und ist vorgesehen
für Leder, bei denen Chromoxidgehalte von mehr als 0,05 % vermutet werden.
Im vorliegenden Fall handelt es sich um eine Analyse des Gesamtchromgehaltes in Leder, die nicht verbindungsspezifisch
oder spezifisch für die Oxidationsstufe ist.

L'ISO 5398‑2:2009 décrit le dosage du chrome par des moyens colorimétriques. Elle est applicable aux cuirs susceptibles d'avoir des teneurs en oxyde de chrome supérieures à 0,05 %.
Il s'agit d'une analyse du chrome total dans le cuir qui n'est spécifique ni d'un composant particulier ni de l'état d'oxydation.

secretariat of which is held by UNI, in collaboration with the International Union of Leather Technologists and
Chemists Societies (IULTCS).

text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the
latest by July 2009.
