This standard specifies the characteristics of hermetic receptacles with jam nut mounting in the family of circular, electrical connectors, with triple start threaded coupling.
It applies to models in Table 3.
For plugs and protective covers, see EN 3645-006, EN 3645-008, EN 3645-011 and EN 3645-012 respectively.
The contacts are unremovable and soldered termination.
These connectors are derived from and interchangeable with model Y in specification MIL-DTL-38999/23.

Diese Norm legt die Eigenschaften von hermetischen festen Steckverbindern mit Mutternbefestigung in der Familie der elektrischen Rundsteckverbinder mit dreigängiger Gewinde-Schnellkupplung fest.
Sie gilt für die in Tabelle 3 angegebenen Bauformen.
Hinsichtlich der freien Steckverbinder und Schutzkappen siehe EN 3645 006, EN 3645 008, EN 3645 011 und EN 3645 012.
Die Kontakte sind nicht lösbar und haben einen Lötanschluss.
Diese Steckverbinder wurden von der Bauform Y in der Spezifikation MIL DTL 38999/23 abgeleitet und sind mit dieser austauschbar.
