Leather - Physical and mechanical tests - Sample preparation and conditioning (ISO 2419:2002)

This European Standard specifies the preparation of leather test pieces for physical and mechanical testing together with two standard atmospheres conditioning and testing.
It is applicable to all types of dry leather.

Diese Norm legt die Vorbereitung der Leder-Probekörper für physikalische und mechanische Prüfungen bei zwei verschiedenen Normalklimaten fest.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie la préparation des éprouvettes de cuir destinées aux essais physiques et mécaniques ainsi que deux atmosphères normales pour le conditionnement et les essais. Elle est applicable à tous les types de cuirs secs.

This document (EN ISO 2419:2002) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 289
"Leather", the secretariat of which is held by UNI, in collaboration with the International Union of
Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS).
It is based on Method IUP 1 and IUP 3 of the International Union of Leather Technologists and
Chemists Societies.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2003, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by June 2003.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Czech
Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg,
