ISO 2419:2006 specifies the preparation of leather test pieces for physical and mechanical testing together with two standard atmospheres for conditioning and testing. It is applicable to all types of dry leather.

This document (EN ISO 2419:2006) has been prepared by Technical Committee IULTCS "the
International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies" in collaboration with
Technical Committee CEN/TC 289 "Leather", the secretariat of which is held by UNI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2006, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by July 2006.
This document supersedes EN ISO 2419:2002.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium,
Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary,
