Leather - Physical and mechanical tests - Determination of extension set (ISO 17236:2002)

ISO 17236:2002 specifies a method for determining the extension set of leather. It is intended for use on upholstery leather but is applicable to all flexible leathers.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der bleibenden Dehnung von Leder fest. Das Verfahren ist für den Einsatz bei Möbelleder vorgesehen, darüber hinaus aber für alle flexiblen Leder anwendbar.

Cuir - Essais physiques et mécaniques - Détermination de la déformabilité (ISO 17236:2002)

L'ISO 17236:2002 spécifie une méthode pour déterminer la déformabilité du cuir. Elle s'applique aux cuirs ameublement mais il est possible de l'appliquer à tous les cuirs légers.

Foreword
This document (EN ISO 17236:2002) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 289
"Leather", the secretariat of which is held by UNI, in collaboration with the International Union of
Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS).
It is based on Method IUP 43 of the International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists
Societies.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2003, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by June 2003.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Czech
Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg,
Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
