General principles of design of fibrous (gypsum) plaster works

This European Standard defines the principles for the design of works carried out using fibrous (gypsum) plaster products as defined in EN 13815.
Fibrous (gypsum) plaster casts from the three categories of production below (see Clause 4 of
EN 13815:2006) should be involved:
a)   ”cpp” allowing regulatory marking CE;
b)   “cppv” allowing regulatory marking CE;
c)   “ipp” either when CE marking is required;
or without CE marking (see Annex D – Note 2 of EN 13815:2006).
This European Standard applies to both new constructions and to the refurbishment, restructuring or conversion of existing buildings.
The common fields of application of fibrous plaster are as set out in Table 1 below.
Table 1 — Common fields of application of fibrous plaster
Fields of application   Examples
Architectural effects      decorating: cornices, pilasters, columns (see exception vii below);
   on the ceiling: flat or shaped ceilings (included suspended ceilings), coffered ceilings, vaults, domes;
   in a vertical position : flat or shaped surfaces (partitions, linings);
   encasements, casings;
   embellishments for direct or concealed lighting;
   structures to improve acoustical performance (insulation, absorption, diffusion).
Technical functions      shafts and ducts for ventilation, air conditioning, smoke extraction;
   ceiling voids and chambers for pressurization;
   structures to enhance fire safety.
NOTE 1   This classification is not exclusive, as the same fibrous plaster work can have several functions.
NOTE 2   Table 1 does not mention the use of fibrous plaster externally; as it can only be used under certain conditions (see 4.3.1.2).
Fibrous plastering work should be capable of having the usual finishes applied directly to them (e.g. paint, wallpaper) subject to the normal preparatory work applicable for the type of finish.

Allgemeine Grundsätze der Planung von Arbeiten aus Formteilen aus faserverstärktem Gips

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Grundsätze für die Planung von Arbeiten fest, die unter Verwendung der in  EN 13815 beschriebenen Produkte aus faserverstärktem Gips ausgeführt werden.
Formteile aus faserverstärktem Gips aus den nachstehenden drei Produktionsgattungen (siehe Abschnitt 4 der EN 13815:2006) sollten einbegriffen sein:
a)   cpp ermöglicht die geregelte CE-Kennzeichnung;
b)   cppv ermöglicht die geregelte CE-Kennzeichnung;
c)   ipp beide, wenn CE-Kennzeichnung erforderlich ist;
oder ohne CE-Kennzeichnung (siehe Anhang D  Anmerkung 2 von EN 13815:2006).
Diese Norm gilt sowohl für Neubauten als auch für Modernisierung, Sanierung oder Umbau von bestehenden Gebäuden.
Die üblichen Anwendungsbereiche für Formteile aus faserverstärktem Gips sind nachstehend in Tabelle 1 aufgeführt.

Architektonische Wirkungen      dekorativ: Gesimse, Wandpfeiler, Säulen (siehe nachstehende Ausnahme);
   an der Decke: glatte oder profilierte Decken (einschließlich abge¬hängter Decken), Kassettendecken, Gewölbe, Kuppeln;
   vertikal angeordnet: glatte oder profilierte Flächen (Trennwände, Bekleidungen);
   Ummantelungen, Bekleidungen;
   Zierteile für direkte oder indirekte Beleuchtung;
   Konstruktionen zur Verbesserung der akustischen Raumeigenschaften (Dämmung, Absorption, Ausbreitung).
Technische Funktionen      Schächte und Kanäle für Lüftung, Klimatisierung, Rauchabzug;
   Deckenzwischenräume und Druckkammern;
   Konstruktionen zur Erhöhung der Brandsicherheit.
ANMERKUNG 1   Diese Klassifizierung ist nicht ausschließend, weil die gleiche Arbeit aus Formteilen aus faserverstärktem Gips verschiedene Funktionen haben kann.
ANMERKUNG 2   In Tabelle 1 ist die Außenanwendung von Produkten aus faserverstärktem Gips nicht erwähnt, weil diese nur unter bestimmten Bedingungen angewendet werden können (siehe 4.3.1.2).

Principes généraux de conception des ouvrages en staff

La présente Norme Européenne détermine les principes généraux de conception des ouvrages à réaliser à l'aide des produits en staff définis par l’EN 13815.
Les éléments en staff des trois catégories de production indiquées ci-dessous (voir article 4 de l’EN 13815:2006) sont concernés :
a)   « cpp » justifiant le marquage réglementaire CE ;
b)   « cppv » justifiant le marquage réglementaire CE ;
c)   « ipp » lorsque le marquage CE est nécessaire ;
ou sans marquage CE (voir l’Annexe D  Note 2 de l’EN 13815:2006).
La présente Norme s’applique à des ouvrages à réaliser dans des bâtiments neufs ou existants, en construction, réhabilitation, restructuration ou réaménagement.
Les domaines courants d’application du staff sont désignés dans le Tableau 1 ci-dessous :

Ouvrages à fonction technique    Conduits de ventilation, de traitement d'air, d'évacuation des fumées ;
Plénums et gaines techniques ;
Ouvrages de protection contre les risques d'incendie (par exemple, compartimentation au feu, protection contre le feu d'éléments structurels de la construction).
NOTE 1   Cette classification n'est pas formelle, un même ouvrage en staff pouvant avoir plusieurs fonctions.
