EN 13781:2012 is the CEN (European) standard that sets requirements and test methods for protective helmets for drivers and passengers of snowmobiles and bobsleighs. Approved December 2011, it supersedes EN 13781:2001 and defines construction, performance, testing and marking rules for helmets intended to reduce head injury risk in winter sport applications. The standard also references additional requirements for eye protectors and face shields in EN 13178.
