Fans - Efficiency classification for fans - Part 2: Standard losses for drive components (ISO/FDIS 12759-2:2018)

This document establishes a classification for fan efficiency. It applies to all electric-motor-driven fan systems that utilize a specific combination of components as defined below:
a) fan airflow performance determined in accordance with an accepted performance standard;
b) polyphase induction motors with nominal motor efficiency specified in this document;
NOTE 1 Other types of motors are explicitly excluded.
c) pulse-width modulated variable frequency drives (VFDs) for use with single motors;
NOTE 2 Single VFDs that service multiple, parallel fan motors are excluded.
d) mechanical power transmissions that utilize V-belts, flat belts, cog belts or couplings.

Le présent document établit une classification du rendement des ventilateurs. Il s'applique à tous les systèmes de ventilation entraînés par un moteur électrique utilisant des combinaisons de composants spécifiques tels que définis ci-dessous:
a) performance d'écoulement d'air du ventilateur déterminée conformément à une norme de rendement reconnue;
b) moteurs à induction polyphasés avec un rendement nominal du moteur spécifié dans le présent document;
NOTE 1 Les autres types de moteurs sont expressément exclus.
c) entraînements à fréquence variable (EFV) à modulation de largeur d'impulsion destinés aux moteurs uniques;
NOTE 2 Les entraînements uniques à fréquence variable qui alimentent les ventilateurs à moteurs multiples, parallèles, sont exclus.
d) transmissions mécaniques de puissance utilisant des courroies trapézoïdales, des courroies plates, des courroies dentées, ou des accouplements.
