Water meters - Part 1: General requirements

This document applies to water meters intended for residential, commercial, light industrial and industrial use, and specifies the requirements and certification procedures for water meters, irrespective of the design technologies used to meter the actual volume of clean cold potable water or heated water, flowing through a fully charged, closed conduit. These water meters shall incorporate devices, which indicate the integrated volume.
This document also applies to water meters based on electrical or electronic principles, and to water meters based on mechanical principles incorporating electronic devices, used to meter the actual volume flow of cold potable water or heated water. It provides metrological requirements for electronic ancillary devices when they are subject to metrological control. As a rule the ancillary devices are optional. However national or international regulations make some ancillary devices mandatory in relation to the utilisation of the water meter.

Wasserzähler - Teil 1: Allgemeine Anforderungen

Dieses Dokument gilt für Wasserzähler, die für den Einsatz in privaten und gewerblichen Bereichen sowie im Bereich der Leichtindustrie und Industrie bestimmt sind. Es legt, ungeachtet der Technologie, die Anforderungen und Zertifizierungsverfahren für Wasserzähler fest, die zur Messung des tatsächlichen Volumens von sauberem, kaltem Trinkwasser oder erwärmtem Wasser, das durch eine voll gefüllte, geschlossene Leitung fließt, eingesetzt werden. Diese Zähler müssen mit Einrichtungen versehen sein, die das summierte Volumen anzeigen.
Dieses Dokument gilt ebenso für Wasserzähler nach elektrischem oder elektronischem Funktionsprinzip und für Wasserzähler nach mechanischem Funktionsprinzip mit elektronischen Einrichtungen, die zur Messung des tatsächlichen Durchflussvolumens von kaltem Trinkwasser oder erwärmtem Wasser dienen. Es legt messtechnische Anforderungen an elektronische Zusatzeinrichtungen fest, soweit diese messtechnisch zu überwachen sind. In der Regel sind Zusatzeinrichtungen nicht zwingend erforderlich. Jedoch werden in nationalen oder internationalen Regelungen einige Zusatzeinrichtungen für die Verwendung von Wasserzählern verbindlich vorgeschrieben.

Le présent document s’applique aux compteurs d’eau destinés à une utilisation résidentielle, commerciale, industrielle légère et industrielle, et spécifie les exigences et les procédures de certification pour les compteurs d’eau, indépendamment des technologies de conception, utilisés pour mesurer le volume réel d’eau potable froide ou d’eau chaude s’écoulant dans une conduite fermée et à pleine charge. Ces compteurs d’eau doivent incorporer des dispositifs indiquant le volume intégré.
Le présent document s’applique aussi aux compteurs d’eau conçus à partir de principes électriques ou électroniques ainsi qu’aux compteurs d’eau conçus à partir de principes mécaniques incorporant des dispositifs électroniques, utilisés pour mesurer le volume débité réel d’eau potable froide ou d’eau chaude. Il fournit des exigences métrologiques pour les dispositifs électroniques auxiliaires lorsqu’ils sont soumis à un contrôle métrologique. Généralement, les dispositifs auxiliaires sont facultatifs. Cependant, des réglementations nationales ou internationales peuvent rendre certains dispositifs auxiliaires obligatoires selon l’utilisation du compteur d’eau.

Ta dokument velja za vodomere, namenjene stanovanjski, gospodarski, lahki industrijski in industrijski uporabi ter določa zahteve in postopke certificiranja za vodomere, ne glede na tehnologije načrtovanja, uporabljene za merjenje dejanskega volumna čiste hladne pitne vode ali segrete vode, ki teče skozi popolnoma poln, zaprt vod. Ti vodomeri vsebujejo naprave, ki navajajo celoten volumen.
Ta dokument prav tako velja za vodomere, zasnovane na električnih ali elektronskih principih, in za vodomere, zasnovane na mehanskih principih, ki vsebujejo elektronske naprave, uporabljene za merjenje dejanskega volumna pretoka hladne pitne vode ali segrete vode. Zagotavlja metrološke zahteve za elektronske pomožne naprave, kadar so predmet metrološkega nadzora. Praviloma so pomožne naprave izbirne. Vendar državni ali mednarodni predpisi navajajo nekatere pomožne naprave kot obvezne v povezavi z uporabo vodomerov.

Wasserzähler - Teil 1: Allgemeine Anforderungen This European Standard was approved by CEN on 26 August 2004 and includes Amendment 1 approved by CEN on 6 March 2007 and Amendment 2 approved by CEN on 3 January 2011.
