Non-destructive testing - Characteristics of focal spots in industrial X-ray systems for use in non-destructive testing - Part 4: Edge method

This European standard specifies the checking of focal spot dimensions above 0,5 mm of X-ray systems up to and including 500 kV tube voltage, by means of radiographs of sharp edges. The image quality and the resolution of X-ray images depend highly on the characteristics of the focal spot. The imaging qualities of a focal spot are based on the two dimensional intensity distribution in the object plane.

Diese Europäsiche Norm legt ein Verfahren für die Kontrolle von Brennflecken oberhalb 0,5 mm für Röntgenspannungen bis einschließlich 500 kV mit Hilfe von radiographischen Bildern von scharfen Kanten fest. Die Bildgüte und die Auflösung von Röntgenbildern hängen in hohem Maße von den Eigenschaften des Brennfleckes ab. Die Abbildungsqualität eines Brennfleckes basiert auf der zweidimensionalen Intensitätsverteilung der Objekte.

La présente norme spécifie la vérification des dimensions des foyers émissifs supérieurs à 0,5 mm des tubes radiogènes dont la tension est inférieure ou égale à 500 kV, à l'aide d'images radiographiques d'un bord franc. La qualité et la résolution des images obtenues par rayonnement X dépendent étroitement des caractéristiques du foyer émissif. Les qualités d'imagerie d'un foyer émissif sont basées sur la répartition bidimensionnelle de la distribution de l'intensité dans le plan de l'objet.
