This standard specifies the characteristics of plugs in the family of circular electrical connectors coupled by threaded ring.
It applies to the class defined in Table 2.
For contacts, filler plugs and rear accessories associated with this plug, see EN 2997-002. For receptacles and protective covers, see EN 2997-003 to EN 2997-007 and EN 2997-010 respectively.

Diese Norm legt die Eigenschaften der freien Steckverbinder in der Familie der elektrischen Rundsteck¬verbinder mit Schraubkupplung fest.
Sie gilt für die in Tabelle 2 festgelegte Klasse.
Hinsichtlich der für diesen freien Steckverbinder verwendbaren Kontakte, Blindstecker und rückseitigen Zube¬hörteile siehe EN 2997-002. Hinsichtlich der festen Steckverbinder und Schutzkappen siehe EN 2997-003 bis EN 2997-007 bzw. EN 2997-010.
