Railway Applications - Coating of passenger rail vehicle (ISO/FDIS 9466:2024)

This document defines the performance requirements and acceptance criteria for paint used in the railway sector for passenger rail vehicles and their locomotives.
It also provides guidelines for the use of a paint applicator to describe its painting processes, product selection, surface preparation, coating application, verification and inspection methods, repairs, and tests to obtain the minimum performances for the final product.
This document applies to all types of paints used on:
- railway vehicle bodies;
- on-board equipment and constituent parts.
