Sterile enteral feeding catheters and giving sets for single use
This European standard specifies requirements for sterile single use enteral feeding catheters, enteral giving sets and their connection systems. This European standard does not apply to enteral feeding catheters in which the external diameter of the tube is greater than 7 mm or to gastro-intestinal catheters primarily intended for the administration of medication.
Sterile Katheter zur enteralen Ernährung und Übertragungsgeräte zur einmaligen Verwendung
Diese europäische Norm legt Anforderungen an sterile Katheter zur enteralen Ernährung und enterale Überleitungsgeräte zur einmaligen Verwendung sowie ihrer Verbindungssysteme fest. Diese Europäische Norm findet keine Anwendung auf Katheter zur enteralen Ernährung, deren äußerer Schlauchdurchmesser größer als 7 mm ist oder auf gastrointestinale Katheter, deren hauptsächlicher Anwendungsbereich die Verabreichung von Medikamenten ist.

La présente norme européenne établit des prescriptions pour les cathéters et lesdispositifs stériles de nutrition entérale, non réutilisables et leurs systèmes de raccordement. Elle ne s'applique pas aux cathéters de nutrition entérale dontle diamètre extérieur du tube est supérieur à 7 mm ou aux cathéters gastro- intestinaux dont la fonction première est l'administration de médicaments.
