ISO 17075:2007 specifies a method for determining chromium(VI) in solutions leached from leather under defined conditions. The method described is suitable to quantify the chromium(VI) content in leathers down to 3 mg/kg.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Chrom(VI)-Gehaltes in Lösungen fest, die aus Leder unter festgelegten Bedingungen extrahiert wurden. Das beschriebene Verfahren ist geeignet, den Chrom(VI)-Gehalt in Leder ab 3 mg/kg quantitativ zu bestimmen
Das vorliegende Dokument gilt für alle Lederarten.

This document (EN ISO 17075:2007) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 289 "Leather", the
secretariat of which is held by UNI, in collaboration with the International Union of Leather Technologists and
Chemists Societies (IULTCS).
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2008, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the
latest by May 2008.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes CEN/TS 14495:2003.
