Resilient and textile floor-coverings - Determination of side length, edge, straightness and squareness of tiles (ISO 24342:2007)

ISO 24342:2007 describes methods for determining side lengths, straightness of edges and squareness of resilient or textile floor tiles.
The side lengths, straightness and squareness of resilient or textile floor tiles are important considerations because installed flooring will have an objectionable appearance if these performance criteria are not followed. This may cause the installed tiles to line up unevenly, producing unsightly seams and corners that do not match.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Kantenlängen, Kanten¬geradheit und Rechtwinkligkeit von elastischen oder textilen Bodenplatten fest.
Die Kanten¬längen, Geradheit und Rechtwinkligkeit elastischer oder textiler Bodenplatten sind wichtige Faktoren, denn ein verlegter Bodenbelag weist ein unzulässiges Erscheinungsbild auf, wenn diese Leistungs-kriterien nicht eingehalten werden. Das kann dazu führen, dass die verlegten Platten uneben ausgerichtet sind und dabei unansehnliche Nähte und Kanten ausbilden, die nicht aneinanderpassen.

Stranske dolžine, ravnost in pravokotnost netekstilnih ali tekstilnih talnih plošč so pomembni vidiki, ker nameščene talne obloge ne bi bile lepega videza, če se ta merila ne bi upoštevala. Plošče se zato lahko neenakomerno poravnajo, kar povzroči neestetske spoje in neujemanje kotov.

The text of ISO 24342:2007 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 219 “Floor coverings” of the
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 24342:2012 by
Technical Committee CEN/TC 134 “Resilient, textile and laminate floor coverings” the secretariat of which is
held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2012, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the
latest by July 2012.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN 427:1994.
