Sawn timber - Method for assessment of case-hardening
This Technical Specification defines a destructive method of assessing the case-hardening of a piece of sawn timber with reference to the distortion measured in a slice taken from the piece.
This Technical Specification is applicable to sawn timber and timber which has been planed or surfaced by other means. It applies to both hardwood and softwood with a thickness not greater than 100 mm.
Schnittholz - Verfahren zur Ermittlung der Verschalung
Diese Technische Spezifikation legt ein zerstörendes Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Verschalung in einem Stück Schnittholz, unter Verwendung der an einem Querriegel ermittelten Deformation, fest.
Dieses Dokument gilt für Schnittholz und für Holz, welches gehobelte oder anderweitig bearbeitete Oberflächen besitzt. Es gilt für Laub- und Nadelholz mit einer Dicke bis zu 100 mm.

Cette spécification technique définit une méthode destructive permettant la mesure de la cémentation d’une pièce de bois scié en référence à la déformation mesurée dans une section extraite de la pièce.
Cette spécification technique s’applique aux bois sciés et aux bois rabotés ou surfacés par d’autres moyens. Il s’applique à la fois aux bois feuillus et aux bois résineux d’une épaisseur inférieure à 100 mm.

Ta tehnična specifikacija določa destruktivno metodo za ocenjevanje zaskorjenosti kosa žaganega lesa glede na ukrivljanje, merjeno na rezini, vzeti s kosa. Ta tehnična specifikacija se uporablja za žagan les in les, ki je bil zglajen ali pooblan na druge načine. Uporablja se tako za trdi les kot mehki les debeline največ 100 mm.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 15 May 2010 for provisional application.
The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to submit their
comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.
CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS available
promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in parallel to the CEN/TS)
until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.
