Ta dokument se uporablja za vtične skoznjike, v skladu s standardom EN 60137, za napetost 72,5 kV, z nazivnimi tokovi
od 630 do 1250 A in frekvencami od 15 do 60 Hz za eno- ali trifazne sisteme v električni opremi, kot so transformatorji, polnjeni s tekočino, plinsko izolirane naprave in krmilne naprave. Dokument po potrebi dopolnjuje in spreminja ustrezne standarde EN.
Uporaba takih vtičnih skoznjikov je izpeljana iz standardov EN 50180 in EN 50181, vendar je uporabljena za višje napetosti z opisanimi odkloni od standardov EN 50299-2 in EN 62271-209.
Ta standard ne zajema povezovalnega sestava, kot je opisan v standardih EN 50299-2 in EN 62271-209.
Standard EN 60137 in skupina HD 632 določata kvalifikacijo, tipski preskus, redni in vzorčni preskus vtičnih skoznjikov v skladu s tem standardom.
Ta dokument določa bistvene mere in preskusne postopke za zagotavljanje primerne pritrditve ter zamenljivosti ustreznih medsebojno vtičnih priključkov enakovrednih moči.
