Ta evropski standard določa zahteve in preskuse za sisteme kabelskih korit (CTS) in sisteme kabelskih cevi (CDS), ki so namenjeni namestitvi in po potrebi električnemu zaščitnemu ločevanju izoliranih prevodnikov, kablov in morda druge električne opreme v inštalacijah električnih in/ali komunikacijskih sistemih. Maksimalna napetost teh inštalacij je 1000 V izmeničnega toka in 1500 V enosmernega toka. Ti sistemi so namenjeni montaži na stene in/ali strope. Lahko so vdelani, pritrjeni v vgreznem ali polvgreznem stanju, pritrjeni na površino ali od nje z uporabo pritrditvenih naprav. Ta standard ne velja za sisteme napeljav, sisteme kabelskih polic, sisteme kabelskih lestev, tirne sisteme za električno napeljavo ali opremo, ki jo zajemajo drugi standardi. EN 50085-2-1:2006/A1:2011 (CENELEC) is an amendment to the European standard for cable trunking systems and cable ducting systems intended for mounting on walls and ceilings in electrical installations. It updates Part 2-1 of the EN 50085 series with clarified test requirements and adds a normative annex on compliance checks. The amendment was approved by CENELEC in October 2011 and applies alongside EN 50085-2-1:2006.

• Annex D (normative): Defines which compliance checks are required when a system already complies with EN 50085-2-1:2006. It clarifies that the compression test is required for cable ducting systems only and that the amendment is not applicable to cable trunking systems.

2011-10-10. CENELEC members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which
