Connectors for electronic equipment - Tests and measurements - Part 17-4: Cable clamping tests - Test 17d: Cable clamp resistance to cable torsion

IEC 60512-17-4:2010 when required by the detail specification, is used for testing connectors within the scope of technical committee 48. It may also be used for similar devices when specified in a detail specification. The object of this standard is to detail a standard test method to assess the ability of a cable-clamping device to prevent the rotation of the cable/wire bundle around its axis.

La CEI 60512-17-4:2010 est utilisée pour les essais des connecteurs du domaine d'activité du comité d'études 48, lorsque la spécification particulière l'exige. Elle peut également être utilisée pour des dispositifs similaires lorsqu'une spécification particulière le stipule. L'objet de cette norme est de définir une méthode d'essai normalisée pour évaluer l'aptitude d'un dispositif de pincement de câbles à empêcher la rotation du faisceau de câbles/fils autour de son axe.

The text of document 48B/2157/FDIS, future edition 1 of IEC 60512-17-4, prepared by SC 48B,
Connectors, of IEC TC 48, Electromechanical components and mechanical structures for electronic
equipment, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as
EN 60512-17-4 on 2010-09-01.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN and CENELEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent
rights.
The following dates were fixed:
