Testing methodology for wipers used in electrical insulating oil

This European Standard specifies testing procedures for fibrous wipers to be used with equipment normally containing electrical insulating oil. Such testing is necessary to rank commercial products, so that possible contamination of insulating oil and electrical equipment with fibres during maintenance operations may be minimized.

Prüfmethoden für Putzlappen, die für Isolieröl verwendet werden

Diese Europäische Norm legt Prüfbedingungen für faserhaltige Putzlappen fest, die in elektrischen Geräten verwendet werden, die üblicherweise Isolieröl enthalten. Eine solche Prüfung ist für die Einstufung handelsüblicher Produkte erforderlich, um eine mögliche Verunreinigung des Isolieröls und der elektrischen Geräte mit Fasern während Wartungsarbeiten zu minimieren.

Méthodologie d'essai des moyens de nettoyage utilisés dans les huiles isolantes à usages électriques

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les procédures d'essai pour les moyens de nettoyage fibreux qui sont à utiliser avec les matériels contenant normalement de l'huile isolante. Ces essais sont nécessaires pour classer les produits existant sur le marché, de manière à réduire la contamination possible de l'huile isolante et du matériel électrique par des fibres au cours des opérations de maintenance.

The text of the draft was submitted to the Unique Acceptance Procedure and was approved by
CENELEC as EN 50375 on 2002-03-05.

 national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2003-03-01

- latest date by which the national standards conflicting
 with the EN have to be withdrawn (dow) 2005-03-01
