Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components - Fibre optic filters - Generic specification

IEC 61977:2010(E) applies to the family of fibre optic filters. These are passive components used to select specific wavelengths. The standard covers their optical, mechanical and envoronmental properties; as well as the measurement and text procedures for quality assessment. The changes with respect to the previous edition include having substantially increased the number of terms, added an informative annex for example of filtering technologies and deleted quality assessment procedures.

Optični spojni elementi in pasivne komponente - Filtri za optična vlakna - Rodovne specifikacije (IEC 61977:2010)

Ta mednarodni standard velja za družino filtrov za optična vlakna. Te komponente imajo vse od naslednjih splošnih značilnosti:
– so pasivne, ker ne vsebujejo nobenih optoelektronskih ali drugih pretvorniških elementov, ki lahko obdelujejo optični signal, ki prihaja v vhodna vrata;
– spreminjajo distribucijo spektralne intenzitete in tako izbirajo določene valovne dolžine ter
zavirajo druge;
– so fiksne, tj. spreminjanje distribucije spektralne intenzitete je fiksno in se ne more
uravnavati;
– imajo vhodna in izhodna vrata ali skupna vrata (ki imajo skupno funkcijo vhoda in
izhoda) za prenos optične moči; vrata so optična vlakna ali konektorji optičnih vlaken;
– razlikujejo se glede na svoje lastnosti. Lahko se razdelijo v naslednje kategorije:
kratkovalovni prehod (prehajajo le valovne dolžine, krajše ali enake določeni vrednost);
dolgovalovni prehod (prehajajo le valovne dolžine, daljše ali enake določeni vrednost);
pasovni prehod (omogočeno je le določeno optično okno);
zareza (le določeno optično okno je zaustavljeno).
Možna je tudi kombinacija zgoraj navedenih kategorij. Ta standard vzpostavlja enotne zahteve za optične, mehanične in okoljske lastnosti.

Foreword
The text of document 86B/2982/FDIS, future edition 2 of IEC 61977, prepared by SC 86B, Fibre optic
interconnecting devices and passive components, of IEC TC 86, Fibre optics, was submitted to the
IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as EN 61977 on 2010-05-01.
This European Standard supersedes EN 61977:2002.
EN 61977:2010 constitutes a technical revision. The changes with respect to EN 61977:2002 include
having substantially increased the number of terms, added an informative annex for example of filtering
technologies and deleted quality assessment procedures.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN and CENELEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent
rights.
