Lightning Protection System Components (LPSC) - Part 3: Requirements for isolating spark gaps (ISG)
IEC 62561-3:2017(E) specifies the requirements and tests for isolating spark gaps (ISG) for lightning protection systems. ISGs can be used to indirectly bond a lightning protection system to other nearby metalwork where a direct bond is not permissible for functional reasons. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition, published in 2012. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition. - a new classification has been added related to ISGs location installation; - an updated flow chart of tests has been developed.

L'IEC 62561-3:2017 spécifie les exigences et les essais à appliquer aux éclateurs d'isolement liés à un système de protection contre la foudre. Les éclateurs d'isolement peuvent être utilisés pour raccorder indirectement un système de protection contre la foudre à une partie métallique proche, lorsqu'un raccordement direct n'est pas admissible pour des raisons fonctionnelles. La présente version bilingue (2018-11) correspond à la version anglaise monolingue publiée en 2017-06. Cette deuxième édition annule et remplace la première édition parue en 2012. Cette édition constitue une révision technique. Cette édition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport à l'édition précédente: - une nouvelle classification a été ajoutée concernant l'emplacement de l'installation des éclateurs d'isolement; - un logigramme d'essais mis à jour a été développé. La version française de cette norme n'a pas été soumise au vote

Ta del standarda IEC 62561 določa zahteve in preskuse za izolacijska iskrišča (ISG) sistemov za zaščito pred strelo.
Izolacijska iskrišča se lahko uporabljajo za posredno povezovanje sistema za zaščito pred strelo z drugimi bližnjimi kovinskimi konstrukcijami, kjer neposredna povezava ni dovoljena zaradi funkcionalnih razlogov.
Običajna uporaba vključuje povezavo z naslednjimi sistemi:
• ozemljitveni sistemi električnih inštalacij,
• ozemljitveni sistemi telekomunikacijskih sistemov,
• pomožna ozemljila zemljekostičnih odklopnikov pod napetostjo,
• železniško ozemljilo izmeničnih in enosmernih železnic,
• merilna ozemljila za laboratorije,
• inštalacije s sistemi katodne zaščite in blodečih tokov,
• servisni vhodni stebri za nizkonapetostne nadzemne kable,
• obvodne izolirane prirobnice in izolirani spojniki cevovodov.
Ta standard ne obravnava področij uporabe, kjer nastajajo sledilni tokovi.
OPOMBA: Elementi za zaščito pred strelo (LPSC) so lahko primerni tudi za uporabo v nevarnih razmerah, na primer v primeru požara ali v eksplozivnem ozračju. Pri namestitvi elementov v takih razmerah je treba poskrbeti, da so izpolnjene dodatne zahteve.
