IS0 (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation
of national standards institutes (IS0 Member Bodies). The work of developing

International Standard IS0 1204 (originally second Draft No. 932) was drawn up
by Technical Committee lSO/TC 70, lnternal cornbusfion engines.
It was approved in June 1971 for publication by the Member Bodies of the
