This International Standard establishes a list of basic terms used in designating the pirn winding machines and their accessories as well as certain corresponding defintions in the field of terminology for weaving preparatory machinery. - Replaces ISO Recommendation R 476-1966 and constitutes its technical revision.

Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to

bodies for approval before their acceptance as Interna tional Standards by the ISO Council.
International Standard ISO 476 was developed by Technical Committee ISO/TC 72, TextIe
machinery and a//ied machinery and accessories, and was circulated to the member bodies in
May 1977.

L ’ISO (Organisation internationale de normalisation) est une federation mondiale d ’organismes
