This standard defines the flange mounting receptacle 2 and 4 modules, series 2 used in the family of rectangular electrical connectors. The plugs corresponding to those receptacles are defined in EN 4165-002.
The protective covers corresponding to those receptacles are defined in EN 4165-018.

Diese Norm legt feste Steckverbinder mit Montageflansch mit 2 und 4 Modulen, Serie 2, fest, die in der Familie der elektrischen Rechtecksteckverbinder verwendet werden. Die diesen festen Steckverbindern ent¬sprechenden freien Steckverbinder sind in EN 4165 002 festgelegt.
Die zu diesen festen Steckverbindern passenden Schutzkappen sind in EN 4165 18 festgelegt.
