This European Standard specifies the characteristics of UV laser printable, nickel plated copper conductor, electrical cables Crosslinked Ethylene Tetra Fluoro Ethylene co-polymer XLETFE family for use in the on-board electrical systems of aircraft at operating temperatures between - 65 °C and 150 °C, operating at voltages not exceeding 600 V r.m.s and frequencies not exceeding 2 000 Hz. These cables are intended for use with additional protection in areas where combinations of high vibration, cable flexing and fluid contamination are normal e.g. undercarriage harnesses. In case of conflict between this standard and other referenced documents the requirements of this standard shall take precedence.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Merkmale eines mit UV-Laser bedruckbaren, vernickelten Kupferleiters für elektrische Leitungen der XLETFE-Familie (en: Crosslinked Ethylene Tetra Fluoro Ethylene) zur Verwendung im elektrischen Bordnetz von Luftfahrzeugen bei Betriebstemperaturen zwischen -65 °C und 150 °C, Betriebsspannungen mit einem Effektivwert von nicht mehr als 600 V und Frequenzen von maximal 2 000 Hz fest. Diese Leitungen dienen zur Verwendung mit einer zusätzlichen Schutzeinrichtung in Bereichen, in denen Kombinationen aus starken Schwingungen, Be¬wegung und Kontakt mit Flüssigkeiten normal sind, z. B. Fahr-werkskabelbäume. Bei Widersprüchen zwischen dieser Norm und anderen zitierten Dokumenten gelten die Anforderungen dieser Norm.

Ta evropski standard določa lastnosti električnih kablov, potiskljivih z UV-laserjem, z vodnikom iz ponikljanega bakra iz družine kopolimerov, pridobljenih z mrežno polimerizacijo etilena in tetrafluoretilena (XLETFE), za uporabo v električnih sistemih na krovu letal pri obratovalnih temperaturah med –65 in 150 °C, obratovalnih napetostih, ki ne presegajo efektivne vrednosti 600 V, ter frekvencah, ki ne presegajo 2000 Hz. Ti kabli so namenjeni za uporabo z dodatno zaščito na območjih, kjer je običajna kombinacija velikih vibracij, zvijanja kablov in stika s tekočino, npr. v vezjih v voznem podstavku. V primeru neskladja med tem standardom in drugimi navedenimi dokumenti imajo prednost določila tega standarda.
