1 Scope
This part of ISO 2982 specifies:
— boundary dimensions of adapter sleeves with taper 1:12 and withdrawal sleeves with tapers 1:12
and 1:30 for rolling bearings of a number of dimension series as specified in ISO 15;
— the outside diameter of suitable locknuts;
— distance from bearing small bore face to outer face of locknut;
— distance from bearing small bore face to outer face of bolt head;

5 Dimensions
5.1 General
Dimensions of adapter sleeve assemblies and boundary dimensions of withdrawal sleeves and overall
lengths of withdrawal sleeve and bearing ring are given in Table 1, Table 2, Table 3, Table 4 and Table 5.
Thread lengths are not specified but shall be appropriate for securing adapter sleeve with locknut
or for withdrawing a rolling bearing on the withdrawal sleeve with locknut. Dimensions of locknuts,
lockwashers, and locking clip assemblies for the adapter sleeves are given in ISO 2982-2. The locknuts
are also suitable for the dismounting of the withdrawal sleeves.
5.2 Adapter sleeve assemblies with taper 1:12
Dimensions of adapter sleeve assemblies with taper 1:12 are given in Table 1, Table 2 and Table 3. Slot
lengths, B , are not specified but

— shall be at least long enough that lockwasher or locking clip can be installed when rolling bearing,
adapter sleeve, and locknut are secured onto a shaft, and
— shall not be longer than 1,3 times thread lengths.

Dimensions of adapter sleeve assemblies and boundary dimensions of withdrawal sleeves and overall
lengths of withdrawal sleeve and bearing ring are given in Table 1, Table 2, Table 3, Table 4 and Table 5.

La présente partie de l’ISO 2982 spécifie:
— les dimensions d’encombrement des manchons de serrage de conicité 1:12 et des manchons de
démontage de conicité 1:12 et 1:30 applicables aux roulements de plusieurs séries de dimensions
telles que définies dans l’ISO 15;
— le diamètre extérieur des écrous à encoches correspondants;
— la distance entre la face de roulement en appui contre la rondelle frein et la face arrière de l’écrou;

5 Dimensions
5.1 Généralités
Les dimensions des manchons de serrage, les dimensions d’encombrement des manchons de démontage
et les longueurs hors tout de démontage et de la bague du roulement sont données dans les Tableaux 1,
2, 3, 4 et 5.
Les longueurs de filetage ne sont pas spécifiées mais doivent être appropriées pour des manchons de
serrage avec écrou, ou pour démonter un roulement sur un manchon de démontage avec écrou. Les
dimensions des écrous, des rondelles frein et des étriers frein pour les manchons de serrage sont données
dans l’ISO 2982-2. Les écrous conviennent également pour le démontage des manchons de démontage.
5.2 Manchon de serrage de conicité 1:12
Les dimensions des manchons de serrage de conicité 1:12 sont données dans les Tableaux 1, 2 et 3. Les
longueurs d’encoche B ne sont pas spécifiées mais elles

— doivent être au moins de longueur suffisante pour pouvoir installer une rondelle frein ou un étrier
frein, quand le roulement, le manchon de serrage et l’écrou sont fixés sur un arbre, et
— ne doivent pas être de longueur supérieure à 1,3 fois la longueur du filetage.
