Such a statementis called an Implementation Conformance Statement (ICS).SIST ETS 300 607-2 E1:2003

Itimplicitly means "is supported by the implementation?".Status columnThe following notations, defined in ISO/IEC 9646-7 [3], are used for the status column:Mmandatory - the capability is required to be supported.Ooptional - the capability may be supported or not.N/Anot applicable - in the given context, it is impossible to use the capability.Xprohibited (excluded) - there is a requirement not to use this capability in thegiven context.O.iqualified optional - for mutually exclusive or selectable options from a set. "i" isan integer which identifies an unique group of related optional items and thelogic of their selection which is defined immediately following the table.SIST ETS 300 607-2 E1:2003
Page 13ETS 300 607-2: October 1996 (GSM 11.10-2 Version 4.15.0)Ciconditional - the requirement on the capability ("M", "O", "X" or "N/A") dependson the support of other optional or conditional items. "i" is an integer identifyingan unique conditional status expression which is defined immediately followingthe table. For nested conditional expressions, the syntax "IF . THEN (IF .THEN . ELSE.) ELSE ." shall be used to avoid ambiguities.Reference columnThe reference column gives reference to the relevant GSM specifications.Support columnThe support column shall be filled in by the supplier of the implementation. The following commonnotations, defined in ISO/IEC 9646-7 [3], are used for the support column:Y or ysupported by the implementationN or nnot supported by the implementationN/A, n/a or - no answer required (allowed only if the status is N/A, directly or after evaluationof a conditional status)It is also possible to provide a comment to an answer in the space provided at the bottom of the table.NOTE:As stated in ISO/IEC 9646-7 [3], support for a PDU requires the ability to parse all validparameters of that PDU. Supporting a PDU while having no ability to parse a validparameter is non-conformant. Support for a parameter on a PDU means that thesemantics of that parameter are supported.Values allowed columnThe values allowed column contains the values or the ranges of values allowed.Values supported columnThe values supported column shall be filled in by the supplier of the implementation. In this column, thevalues or the ranges of values supported by the implementation shall be indicated.Mnemonic columnThe Mnemonic column contains mnemonic identifiers for each item.References to itemsFor each possible item answer (answer in the support column) within the PICS proforma there exists aunique reference, used, for example, in the conditional expressions. It is defined as the table identifier, followed by a solidus character "/", followed by the item number in the table. If there is more than onesupport column in a table, the columns shall be discriminated by letters (a, b, etc.), respectively.EXAMPLE 1:A.5/4 is the reference to the answer of item 4 in table A.5.EXAMPLE 2:A.6/3b is the reference to the second answer (i.e. in the second support column)of item 3 in table A.6.Prerequisite lineA prerequisite line takes the form: Prerequisite: .A prerequisite line after a clause or table title indicates that the whole clause or the whole table is notrequired to be completed if the predicate is FALSE.SIST ETS 300 607-2 E1:2003
