Industrial communication networks - Profiles - Part 1: Fieldbus profiles (IEC 61784-1:2010)

This part of IEC 61784 defines a set of protocol specific communication profiles based primarily on the IEC 61158 series, to be used in the design of devices involved in communications in factory manufacturing and process control. Each profile selects specifications for the communications protocol stack at a device. It contains a minimal set of required services at the application layer and specification of options in intermediate layers defined through references. If no application layer is included, then a minimal set of required services at the Data-link layer is specified. The appropriate references to the protocol specific types are given in each communication profile family or associated profiles.

Ta del IEC 61784 določa nabor z protokolom določenih komunikacijskih profilov, uporabljenih predvsem na IEC 61158 seriji, za uporabo pri načrtovanju naprav, ki sodelujejo pri komunikacijah pri tovarniški proizvodnji in nadzoru procesov.  Vsak profil izbere specifikacije za komunikacijski protokolni sklad pri napravi. Vsebuje minimalni nabor zahtevanih storitev na plasti uporabe in specifikacijo možnostih v srednjih plasteh, določenih preko sklicev. Če plast uporabe ni vključena, je določen minimalni nabor zahtevanih storitev na plasti podatkovne povezave.  Primerno sklicevanje na za protokol značilne tipe je podane v vsaki družini komunikacijskih profilov ali v povezanih profilih.

Foreword
The text of document 65C/600/FDIS, future edition 3 of IEC 61784-1, prepared by SC 65C, Industrial
networks, of IEC TC 65, Industrial-process measurement, control and automation, was submitted to the
IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as EN 61784-1 on 2010-09-01.
This European Standard supersedes EN 61784-1:2008.
The main changes with respect to the previous edition are listed below:
– update of the dated references to the EN 61158 series, to EN 61784-2, to the EN 61784-3 series, to
the EN 61784-5 series and to EN 61918 throughout the document;
– update of the titles of the referenced documents and references if needed;
– update of selection tables for CPF 1, CPF 2, CPF 5 and CPF 8.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN and CENELEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent
rights.
The following dates were fixed:
