This document specifies the dimensional requirements for the 26 mm diameter, 6 mm height crown cap, lined with a plastic gasket and designed to seal bottles with neck finishes foreseen for pry-off or twist-crown applications.
It specifies the dimensional requirements that are of direct importance to the customer/bottler and recommendations for cap application.
The gasket material and profile are not specified as a number of different profiles are available depending on the end use and supplier specific technology. The requirement placed on the gasket profile design is that it needs to be fit for purpose used in conjunction with glass finishes in reference.

Dieses Dokument legt die Maßanforderungen an den Kronenverschluss mit einem Durchmesser von 26 mm und einer Höhe von 6 mm fest. Dieser Kronenverschluss ist mit einer Kunststoffdichtung ausgestattet und wird dafür verwendet Flaschen abzudichten, deren Mündung mit einem Pry-Off- oder Twist-Off-Verschluss ausgestattet ist.
Es legt die Maßanforderungen fest, die für den Kunden/Abfüller von direkter Bedeutung sind und gibt Empfehlungen für die Anwendung von Verschlüssen.
Das Dichtungsmaterial und  profil werden nicht festgelegt, da je nach Endanwendung und lieferanten-spezifischer Technologie eine Reihe unterschiedlicher Profile zur Verfügung stehen. Le présent document spécifie les exigences dimensionnelles pour les capsules couronnes de diamètre 26 mm et de 6 mm de hauteur, pourvues d'un joint d’étanchéité en plastique et destinées à boucher des bouteilles dont la bague est prévue pour les capsules pry‐off (à ouverture par décapsuleur), et les capsules twist (à ouverture par rotation).
Il spécifie les exigences dimensionnelles qui sont d'une importance directe pour le client/l'embouteilleur, ainsi que les recommandations concernant l'application des capsules.
Le matériau constitutif et le profil du joint d’étanchéité ne sont pas spécifiés, car il existe bon nombre de profils différents en fonction de l'utilisation finale et de la technologie spécifique du fournisseur. L'exigence fixée concernant la conception du profil du joint d’étanchéité est que celui-ci doit être adapté à sa fonction lorsqu'il est utilisé en conjonction avec la bague en verre précisée en référence.

Določa dimenzijske zahteve, ki so pomembne neposredno za kupca/polnilca, in priporočila za uporabo zamaškov.
Material in profil tesnila nista določana, saj so na voljo številni profili, odvisno od končne uporabe in posebne tehnologije dobavitelja. Zahteva glede oblike profila tesnila je, da mora biti primeren za uporabo skupaj z zadevnimi steklenimi oblogami.
