Geographic information - Data description - Spatial schema

This European Prestandard establishes principles for describing spatial schemas which can be part of application schemas. These schemas can be used for defining, structuring, querying, updating, encoding, transforming and transferring geographic data. The spatial schemas specify the constructs for the representation of geometry and topology of geographic objects. The constructs are defined in spatial schemas according to requirements from the applications.

Diese Europaische Vornorm stellt Grundsätze für die Beschreibung von Raumbezugsschemata auf, die Teil von Anwendungsschemata sein können. Diese Schemata können für die Definition, Strukturierung, Abfrage, Aktualisierung, Kodierung, Umwandlung und Übertragung von Geodaten verwendet werden. Die Raumbezugsschemata legen die Konstrukte für die Darstellung von Geometrie und Topologie geographischer Objekte fest. Die Konstrukte sind in Raumbezugsschemata nach den Anforderungen der Anwendungen definiert.

La présente prénorme européenne donne les principes permettant de décrire les schémas spatiaux qui font partie des schémas d'application. Ces schémas peuvent etre utilisés pour décrire, structurer, interroger, mettre a jour, coder, transformer et transférer des données géographiques. Le schéma spatial définit les regles de construction pour la représentation de la géométrie et la topologie des objets géographiques. Les regles de construction sont définies dans le schéma spatial d'apres les exigences des différentes applications.
