Tests for thermal and weathering properties of aggregates - Part 8: Determination of resistance to disintegration of Lightweight Aggregates

EN 1367-8 specifies the reference test method used for type testing, and in case of dispute, for determining the resistance to disintegration of lightweight aggregates (LWA) in accordance with EN 13055. For other purposes, in particular for factory production control, other methods may be used provided that an appropriate working relationship with the reference method has been established The test is applicable to LWA with particle size no lower than 4 mm and up to a maximum size of 32 mm.

Diese Europäische Norm legt das Referenzprüfverfahren zur Bestimmung des Widerstandes von leichten Gesteinskörnungen (en: lightweight aggregates, LWA) gegen Zerfall in Übereinstimmung mit EN 13055 fest, das für die Typprüfung und im Streitfall eingesetzt wird. Für sonstige Zwecke, insbesondere für die werkseigene Produktionskontrolle, dürfen andere Verfahren angewendet werden, unter der Voraussetzung, dass eine angemessene funktionierende Beziehung zu dem Referenzverfahren hergestellt wurde. Die Prüfung ist für leichte Gesteinskörnungen mit einer Korngröße von mindestens 4 mm bis maximal 32 mm anwendbar.

La présente norme décrit la méthode de référence utilisée pour les essais de type et, en cas de conflit, pour la détermination de la résistance à la désintégration des granulats légers selon l’EN 13055. Pour d'autres objectifs, en particulier dans le cadre du contrôle de la production en usine, d'autres méthodes peuvent être employées si une corrélation avec la méthode de référence a été établie. L'essai est applicable aux granulats légers d'une granularité comprise entre 4 mm et 32 mm.

Standard EN 1367-8 določa referenčno preskusno metodo, ki se uporablja za tipsko preskušanje, in v primeru spora za določevanje odpornosti proti razpadu lahkih agregatov (TWA) v skladu s standardom EN 13055. Za druge namene, zlasti za kontrolo proizvodnje v obratu, se lahko uporabijo druge metode, če obstaja primerna delovna povezava z referenčno metodo. Preskus se uporablja za lahke agregate z velikostjo delcev najmanj 4 mm in največ 32 mm.
