Sintered metal materials, excluding hardmetals - Unnotched impact test piece (ISO 5754:2023)
ISO 5754 specifies the dimensions of an unnotched impact test piece of sintered metal materials. The test piece may be obtained directly by pressing and sintering or by machining a sintered part.
ISO 5754 applies to all sintered metals and alloys, with the exception of hardmetals. However, for certain materials (for example, materials with low porosity or materials with high ductility), it may be more appropriate to use a notched test piece which, in this case, will give results with less scatter. (In this case, refer to ISO 148‑1.)
NOTE For porous sintered materials, the results obtained from impact tests are not necessarily very accurate compared with results obtained from tests on solid metals.

Dieses Dokument gilt für alle Sintermetalle und Legierungen, ausgenommen Hartmetalle. Bei bestimmten Werkstoffen (z.B. Werkstoffen mit geringer Porosität oder hoher Duktilität) kann die Verwendung einer gekerbten Probe geeigneter sein, da in diesem Fall Ergebnisse mit geringerer Streuung zu erwarten sind (siehe hierzu ISO148-1).
ANMERKUNG Bei porösen Sinterwerkstoffen sind die bei den Schlagprüfungen an ungekerbten Proben nach dieser Norm erzielten Ergebnisse nicht vollständig vergleichbar mit den Ergebnissen, die bei Prüfungen mit festen Metallen an ungekerbten Proben erzielt werden.

L'ISO 5754 spécifie les dimensions d'une éprouvette non entaillée pour essai de résilience, constituée de matériaux métalliques frittés. L'éprouvette peut être soit obtenue directement par compression et frittage, soit prélevée par usinage sur une pièce frittée.
L'ISO 5754 s'applique à tous les métaux et alliages frittés, à l'exclusion des métaux-durs. Cependant, pour certains matériaux (par exemple, les matériaux à faible porosité, ou à grande ductilité), il peut être plus approprié d'utiliser une éprouvette entaillée qui permet alors de réduire la dispersion des résultats (dans ce cas, voir l'ISO 148‑1).
NOTE Pour les matériaux frittés poreux, les résultats obtenus lors d'essais de résilience peuvent ne pas être très exacts par rapport à ceux obtenus sur des métaux compacts.

Standard ISO 5754 določa mere udarnega preskušanca brez zareze iz sintranih kovinskih materialov. Preskušanca se lahko pridobi neposredno s stiskanjem in sintranjem ali s strojno obdelavo sintranega dela.
Standard ISO 5754 se uporablja za vse sintrane kovine in zlitine razen trdin. Vendar pa je za nekatere materiale (npr. materiale z nizko poroznostjo ali materiale z visoko duktilnostjo) morda bolj primerna uporaba preskušanca z zarezo, ki bo v tem primeru podal rezultate z manj sipanja. (V tem primeru glej standard ISO 148‑1.)
OPOMBA: Za porozne sintrane materiale rezultati, pridobljeni z udarnimi preskusi, niso nujno zelo natančni v primerjavi z rezultati, pridobljenimi s preskusi s trdnimi kovinami.

This document (EN ISO 5754:2023) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 119 "Powder
metallurgy" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/SS M11 “Powder metallurgy” the
secretariat of which is held by CCMC.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2024, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by April 2024.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 5754:2017.
