This part of IEC 62343 contains the guideline minimum initialization test and measurement requirements and severities, for a dynamic gain tilt equalizer (DGTE). A DGTE is used in an optical amplifier, which operates in C-band and/or L-band, to control the output power of the amplifier to be nominally flat. The operating wavelength range of a DGTE is wider than or equal to 35 nm.

La CEI 62343-1-3:2012 contient les lignes directrices concernant les exigences et sévérités d'essai et de mesure initiales minimales relatives aux égaliseurs dynamiques de basculement de gain (DGTE). Cette deuxième édition annule et remplace la première édition publiée en 2006. Elle constitue une révision technique. Cette édition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport à l'édition précédente:  - une modification du titre en supprimant la catégorie d'environnement;  - ajout d'un Article 4, Conditions de fonctionnement et de stockage;  - inclusion de la partie bandes spectrales dans l'Article 5, Essais;  - définition de la plage de longueurs d'onde pour les exigences d'essais à l'Article 5, Essais;  - suppression des essais d'environnement des exigences et détails d'essai. Ta del standarda IEC 62343 vsebuje smernice za najmanjše začetne zahteve in stopnje zahtevnosti za preskuse in meritve za izenačevalnik dinamične ojačitve s spojitvenimi vlakni za uporabo v nadzorovanem okolju (DGTE). Izenačevalnik dinamične ojačitve se uporablja v optičnem ojačevalniku, ki deluje v pasu C in/ali L, za nadzorovanje izhodne moči ojačevalnika, da ostane nazivno ravna. Operativno območje valovne dolžine izenačevalnika dinamične ojačitve je širše ali enako 35 nm.

The text of document 86C/1077/CDV, future edition 2 of IEC 62343-1-3, prepared by SC 86C, "Fibre optic
systems and active devices", of IEC TC 86, "Fibre optics" was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel
vote and approved by CENELEC as EN 62343-1-3:2013.
The following dates are fixed:

This document supersedes EN 62343-1-3:2006.

b) the addition of Clause 4, Operating and storage conditions;
c) the inclusion of spectral bands in Clause 5, Test;
d) a definition of the wavelength range for test requirements in Clause 5, Test;
e) the removal of the environment tests from the test details and requirements.

FOREWORD
1) The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising
all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). The object of IEC is to promote
international co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields. To
