Protective clothing for use against solid particulates - Part 1: Performance requirements for chemical protective clothing providing protection to the full body against airborne solid particulates (type 5 clothing) - Amendment 1 (ISO 13982-1:2004/AM 1:2010)

This part of ISO 13982 specifies the minimum requirements for chemical protective clothing resistant to penetration by airborne solid particles (type 5). These garments are full-body protective clothing, i.e. covering trunk, arms and legs, such as one-piece coveralls or two piece suits, with or without hood or visors, with or without foot protection. Requirements for component parts, such as hoods, gloves, boots, visors or respiratory protective equipment might be specified in other International and European Standards. This part of ISO 13982 is applicable only to airborne solid particulates. It is not applicable to other forms of challenge by solid chemicals, e.g. penetration of chemical dust through materials by rubbing or flexing, which may form the object of separate standards.

Ta del ISO 13982 določa minimalne zahteve za varovalno obleko, ki varuje pred kemikalijami, ki je odporna proti penetraciji trdnih delcev v zraku (tipa 5). Ta oblačila so oblačila za zaščito celotnega telesa, tj. pokrivajo trup, roke in noge, kot so pajaci iz enega kosa ali obleke iz dveh kosov, s kapuco ali brez nje ali ščitnika in z zaščito za stopala ali brez nje. This amendment A1 modifies the European Standard EN ISO 13982-1:2004; it was approved by CEN on 14 October 2010.

Foreword
The document (EN ISO 13982-1:2004/A1:2010) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 162
“Protective clothing including hand and arm protection and lifejackets” the secretariat of which is held by DIN,
in collaboration with ISO/TC 94 “Personal safety - Protective clothing and equipment”.
This Amendment to the European Standard EN ISO 13982:2004 shall be given the status of a national
standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2011, and
conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by April 2011.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the
