This European Standard describes methods for establishing structural data for stiffness and resistance by calculation supported by tests for load bearing towers made of prefabricated components of steel or aluminium alloy. The vertical load capacity is established, both with or without horizontal loads and with the top  restrained or free.
This European Standard specifies two methods of analysis, by  first order theory, or by  second order theory.
NOTE   For definitions and requirements relating to structures and materials of the structure, specifications and loads, see EN 12812.
The European Standard is not intended for towers constructed with tubes and couplers: it is expected that they will be designed in accordance with EN 12812.

Temporäre Konstruktionen für Bauwerke - Stützentürme aus vorgefertigten Bauteilen - Besondere Bemessungsverfahren

Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt Verfahren zur Ermittlung konstruktiver Daten hinsichtlich der Steifigkeit und des Widerstandes durch Berechnung, gestützt auf Versuche, für Stützentürme aus vorgefertigten Bau-teilen aus Stahl oder Aluminiumlegierungen. Die Bestimmung erfolgt mit Vertikallasten sowie mit oder ohne Horizontallasten, wobei der Kopf des Stützenturms entweder horizontal gehalten oder frei sein kann.
Die meisten Bilder zur Veranschaulichung dieser Norm beziehen sich auf eine spezielle Bauart der Stützen-türme, die beschriebenen Verfahren gelten jedoch für alle Stützentürme.
Es ist auch ein Großversuch vorgesehen, der durchgeführt wird um nachzuweisen, dass die für die Berech-nung angewendete Modellierung ausreichend genau und auf der sicheren Seite liegend ist.
Diese Europäische Norm ist nicht für mit Rohren und Kupplungen gebaute Stützentürme vorgesehen: es wird davon ausgegangen, dass diese nach prEN 12812 bemessen werden.
Diese Europäische Norm legt zwei Berechnungsverfahren fest, das Verfahren mit Hilfe der Theorie I. Ordnung und das Verfahren mit Hilfe der Theorie II. Ordnung, um die Einwirkungen zu bestimmen die durch die Stützentürme aufgenommen werden können.

Equipements temporaires de chantiers - Tours d'étaiement en composants préfabriqués - Méthodes particulieres de calcul des structures

La présente Norme européenne décrit des méthodes d'établissement de données structurales relatives a la rigidité et a la résistance au moyen de calculs supportés par des essais sur les tours d'étaiement en composants préfabriqués en acier ou en alliage d'aluminium. Elles sont prises en compte avec des charges verticales, et avec ou sans charges horizontales, et leur sommet peut etre fixe ou libre.
La plupart des figures figurant dans la présente norme illustrent un type particulier de tour mais les modes opératoires décrits sont applicables a toutes les tours.
Un essai global est prévu afin de démontrer que la modélisation adoptée dans l'analyse est suffisamment précise et prudente.
La présente Norme européenne ne s'applique pas aux tours fabriquées avec des tubes et des raccords : il est prévu que ces dernieres soient calculées conformément au prEN 12812.
La présente Norme européenne spécifie deux méthodes d'analyse, la premiere par la théorie du premier ordre, la seconde par la théorie du second ordre, pour l'établissement des actions qui peuvent etre supportées par les tours d'étaiement.

Introduction This European Standard is intended to provide information for those who specify load bearing towers made from prefabricated components and for the designer who has to prepare a scheme for their use. This European Standard will be of interest to those who wish to develop particular items, or groups of items for load bearing towers of prefabricated components. This European Standard describes how to establish structural data for load bearing towers made from prefabricated components.
Most of the figures illustrating the standard are of a particular type of tower but the procedures described are applicable to all towers. There is a requirement for a global test to demonstrate that the modelling adopted in the analysis is sufficiently accurate and on the conservative side. For materials this standard refers only to valid European Standards. However a large stock of equipment made of materials conforming to standards no longer valid is in use. This standard does not cover the use of this equipment. NOTE This European Standard does not give information on site activities nor about safety requirements, for which reference should be made to E.C. directives, and national documents.
