This document classifies floor gullies for domestic wastewater for use inside buildings, gives guidance, gives guidance for places of installation and specifies requirements for the construction, design, performance and marking of factory made gullies for buildings, irrespective of the material, for use in drainage systems requiring a trap with combined mechanical closure and water seal (referred to as floor gullies).
NOTE   Floor gullies with combined mechanical closure and water seal are not covered by EN 1253-1, EN 1253-6, EN 1253-7.
These products are intended to be installed where both condition below are fulfilled:
-   the building does not exceed a ground-floor and three floors above;
-   infrequent use could result in a water seal evaporating.

NOTE   Floor gullies with a depth of water seal less than 50 mm are not covered by EN 1253 1, EN 1253 7 and EN 1253 8.
These products are intended to be installed where the three following conditions are met:
-   space limitation will not accommodate a gully with a 50 mm water seal;
-   the building does not exceed a ground-floor and three floors above;
-   at least two domestic sanitary appliances are installed in addition to the gully but with only one WC on the same branch (connection pipe) or secondary or branch ventilation is installed (see EN 12056 2:2000, 4.3.2 or 4.3.4.

This draft European Standard specifies requirements for the design, construction, performance, application and marking as well as test methods of factory made gullies with a light liquid closure for buildings.
Light liquid closures for buildings shall be applied to avoid uncontrolled discharge of light liquids into drainage systems in case of emergency.
This draft European Standard does not apply to installations for separation of light liquids covered by EN 858-1.

This draft European Standard specifies the requirements for evaluation of conformity for floor gullies, roof drains and access covers for buildings to ensure conformity of these products with EN 1253-1, EN 1253-2 and FprEN 1253-4.

This draft European Standard classifies access covers according to their loading strength and specifies requirements relating to their design, construction, marking, testing and evaluation of conformity.
This draft European Standard classifies and specifies requirements for factory made access covers used for drainage systems inside buildings. This draft standard does not apply to access covers intended for external use which are covered by EN 124 series.

This European Standard classifies floor gullies for use inside buildings, gives guidance for places of installation and specifies requirements for the construction, design, performance and marking of factory made gullies for buildings, irrespective of the material, for use in drainage systems requiring a trap with a depth of water seal of at least 50 mm (further: floor gullies).
Although normally used to convey domestic wastewater, these floor gullies may convey other wastewater, e.g. industrial wastewater, provided there is no risk of damage to components or of injury to health.
This European Standard does not apply to:
-   linear drainage channels as specified in EN 1433,
-   gully tops and manhole tops which are specified in EN 124,
-   roof drains and floor gullies without trap as specified in EN 1253 2.

This European Standard classifies roof drains and floor gullies without trap for use inside buildings, gives guidance for places of installation and specifies requirements for the construction, design, performance and marking as well as test methods of factory made roof drains and floor gullies without trap (further: floor gullies) for buildings, irrespective of the material for use in drainage systems.
Although normally used to convey rainwater and wastewater, these roof drains and floor gullies without trap may convey other wastewater provided there is no risk of damage to components or of injury to health.
This European Standard does not apply to trapped floor gullies with a depth of water seal of at least 50 mm as specified in EN 1253 1.

This European Standard specifies the requirements for anti-flooding devices for buildings to ensure conformity of these products with EN 13564-1.

This European Standard sets out the various relevant test methods for requirements in Part 1.

This part of this European Standard specifies test methods for anti-flooding devices for buildings according to prEN XXXXX-1.

This standard specifies requirements for the design, construction, performance, application and marking as well as test methods of factory made gullies with a light liquid closure for buildings.

This standard specifies the requirements for control for gullies and access covers for buildings to ensure conformity of these products with prEN 1253-1 and prEN 1253-4.

This standard does not apply to gully tops and manhole tops which are speci-fied in EN 124:1994.

This standard specifies the dimensional characteristics, materials, along with performance and test methods for waste outlets and traps for sinks. Quality control and quality assurance will be handled by the competent bodies.
