EN 13564-2:2002 (CEN) - Anti-flooding devices for buildings - Part 2: Test methods - defines standardized laboratory and in‑situ test procedures used to verify the performance, durability and watertightness of anti‑flooding and backflow prevention devices fitted to building drainage systems. It complements EN 13564-1:2002 (requirements) and is intended for use by manufacturers, test laboratories and compliance bodies to demonstrate that devices resist surcharge, backflow and environmental stresses.

  • Textile test for Type 3: floor‑cloth procedure under 50 kPa for 5 cycles B to verify clogging and sealing behaviour.
  • In‑situ testing: water backflow at 1 kPa for 10 minutes; leakage through automatic device ≤ 500 cm³.
