CEN/TC 250/SC 1/WG 3 - Traffic loads on bridges
To provide technical support in response to any requests from SC 1 to assist with the evolution of EN 1991 especially for the dynamic analysis of bridges under the loading of railway traffic, considering the interface between the structures and the rolling stock and to include this subject in the development of EN 1991-2. Responsible for providing the technical advice in cooperation with the HG-B and especially for existing bridges in cooperation with all related WG and SC of TC 250 and in cooperation with TC 256. Developing and elaboration of a special standard on this subject.

General Information
This Technical Report reviews current practice with regard to designing, constructing and maintaining the parts of bridges and tracks where railway rails are installed across discontinuities in supporting structures. Current Standards and Codes of Practice are examined and some particular case histories are reviewed. The Technical Report gives guidance with respect to current best practice and makes recommendations for future standards development and also identifies areas in which further research and development is needed.
