SCOPE
1.1 This test method covers the determination of the matter in oiticica oil that is insoluble in chloroform. It may also be used for other drying oils.  
1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of whoever uses this standard to consult and establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. A specific hazard statement is given in Section 4.

This test method covers the determination of the matter in oiticica oil that is insoluble in chloroform. It may also be used for other drying oils.
Formerly under the jurisdiction of Committee D01 on Paint and Related Coatings, Materials, and Applications, this test method was withdrawn in December 2003 in accordance with section 10.6.3.1 of the Regulations Governing ASTM Technical Committees, which requires that standards shall be updated by the end of the eighth year since the last approval date.
