This Part of EN 10246 specifies the requirements for magnetic particle inspection of the end/bevel face at the ends of seamless and welded ferromagnetic steel tubes for the detection of laminar imperfections. This Part of EN 10246 is to be used for the detection of laminar imperfections on the end/bevel face at the ends of plain end and bevelled end tubes which may interfere with subsequent fabrication and inspection operations (e.g. welding, ultrasonic inspection of the welds). This part of EN 10246 may be used as an alternative to or in addition to EN 10246-17.

Dieser Teil der EN 10246 legt die Anforderungen an die Magnetpulverprüfung der Stirnflächen bzw. Stirnflächenanschrägungen nahtloser und geschweißter ferromagnetischer Stahlrohre zum Nachweis von Dopplungen fest. Dieser Teil der EN 10246 ist anwendbar, um auf der Stirnfläche bzw. Stirnflächenanschrägung von Rohren mit glatten bzw. angeschrägten Stirnflächen Dopplungen nachzuweisen, die nachgeordnete Fertigungs- und Prüfoperationen (z. B. Schweißen, Ultraschallprüfung der Schweißnähte) beeinträchtigen könnten.

La présente norme européenne spécifie les prescriptions relatives au contrôle magnétoscopique des extrémités coupées d'équerre ou chanfreinées de tubes en acier ferromagnétique sans soudure et soudés pour la détection des dédoublures. L'objet de cette norme est de détecter, aux extrémités de tubes coupées d'équerre ou chanfreinées les dédoublures susceptibles d'interférer avec les opérations de mise en oeuvre ultérieure (par ex. le soudage, le contrôle des soudures par ultrasons, etc.). Cette partie de norme peut être utilisée à la place ou en supplément de l'EN 10246-17.
