Chemicals used for treatment of water intended for human consumption - Liquefied ammonia

This document is applicable to liquefied ammonia used for treatment of water intended for human consumption. It describes the characteristics and specifies the requirements of liquefied ammonia and refers to the corresponding analytical methods. It gives information for its use in water treatment. It also determines the rules relating to the safe handling and use of liquefied ammonia (see Annex B).

Dieses Dokument ist anzuwenden für flüssiges Ammoniak zur Aufbereitung von Wasser für den menschlichen Gebrauch. Es beschreibt die Eigenschaften von flüssigem Ammoniak und legt die Anforderungen sowie die entsprechenden Prüfverfahren für flüssiges Ammoniak fest. Es enthält Angaben zu dessen Anwendung in der Wasseraufbereitung. Es legt darüber hinaus Regeln für die sichere Handhabung und Verwendung von flüssigem Ammoniak fest (siehe Anhang B).

Le présent document s’applique à l’ammoniac liquéfié utilisé pour le traitement de l’eau destinée à la consommation humaine. Il décrit les caractéristiques de l’ammoniac liquéfié, en spécifie les exigences ainsi que les méthodes d’analyse correspondantes. Il donne des informations pour son emploi dans le traitement de l’eau. Il fixe également les règles relatives à la sécurité d’emploi et de manipulation de l’ammoniac liquéfié (voir l’Annexe B).
