This document specifies the evaluation of the fire performance of water mist systems for offices, school classrooms and hotels. This fire test protocol is applicable to ceiling mounted automatic nozzles to be used in unlimited volume. This document is applicable for horizontal, solid, flat ceilings with heights of 2 m and above, up to the maximum tested ceiling height.

firefighting systems”, the secretariat of which is held by BSI.

1 Scope
This document specifies the evaluation of the fire performance of water mist systems for offices, school
classrooms and hotels. This fire test protocol is applicable to ceiling mounted automatic nozzles to be
used in unlimited volume. This document is applicable for horizontal, solid, flat ceilings with heights of
2 m and above, up to the maximum tested ceiling height.
