This part of EN 12221 specifies test methods that assess the safety of changing units.
It should be noted that the effect of ageing and degradation of materials is not included.

1 Scope This part of EN 12221 specifies test methods that assess the safety of changing units. It should be noted that the effect of ageing and degradation of materials is not included. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. Before testing, any fabrics used shall be cleaned or washed and dried twice following the manufacturer’s instructions. The test shall be carried out in indoor ambient conditions, but if during a test the atmosphere temperature is outside the range 15 °C or above 25 °C, the maximum and/or minimum temperature shall be recorded in the test report. The changing unit shall be tested as delivered. If of knock-down type, it shall be assembled according to the instructions supplied with the unit.
